Job Purpose:
The Marketing Planning & Execution Lead will support the strategic planning process for the brand and marketing department, acting as a key strategic partner to the Personal Banking Group business units, including deposits, wealth, elite banking, and mortgages (excluding cards). This role will ensure that business priorities are aligned with marketing strategies and initiatives, coordinating with internal teams and agencies to deliver an integrated, holistic marketing plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the annual marketing calendar, budget, and ensuring seamless execution across all channels and teams.
Principal Accountabilities:
Strategic Planning: Lead the development of annual marketing plans in partnership with business stakeholders, setting strategic priorities and objectives for the year across key business areas (deposits, wealth, elite, mortgage).
Holistic Campaign Management: Work closely with brand, creative, digital, PR, social, and media teams to ensure that marketing plans are integrated and aligned with business needs. Manage the overall calendar of marketing activities and ensure alignment across departments.
Briefing Process: Establish a structured briefing process to gather insights and requirements from business stakeholders, translating them into actionable marketing strategies and creative briefs for internal teams and agencies.
Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Serve as the main liaison between the brand and marketing department and internal business units, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. Act as the key point of contact for marketing planning and execution.
Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring allocation aligns with strategic priorities. Monitor expenditure, manage reallocations as needed, and track ROI for marketing initiatives.
Agency Coordination: Manage relationships with external agencies, ensuring they are well-briefed and aligned with the bank’s strategic marketing objectives. Provide feedback and ensure consistent quality and integration of agency output.
Performance Tracking: Set KPIs and measure the success of marketing initiatives across various business lines. Ensure timely reporting and analysis of campaign performance to optimize future marketing efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, acting as a strategic advisor on marketing initiatives. Provide regular updates on marketing activities and performance, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
Compliance and governance and operational support: Ensure that all documentation and approvals are appropriately managed and support audit related activities as required.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in strategic marketing planning, campaign management, or marketing operations, preferably in banking, financial services, or a related industry.
Demonstrated expertise in coordinating multi-channel marketing initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
Experience with budget management and allocation.
Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering marketing plans on time and within budget.
