Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welding Robotic Operator and Programmer to operate and program robotic welding systems to ensure the production of high-quality welded components. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding, robotic automation, and a strong understanding of welding parameters and procedures. You will be responsible for setup, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of robotic welding systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and program robotic MIG welding machines (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Motoman, Panasonic, etc.)
  • Set up fixtures, tooling, and robotic arms for welding operations
  • Adjust welding parameters and robotic paths for optimal quality and cycle time
  • Conduct test welds and quality inspections to ensure adherence to specifications
  • Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work instructions
  • Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotic welding systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve welding processes
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Document weld setups, programs, and maintenance activities


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in MIG welding and robotic welding systems
  • Proficiency with robotic programming software and HMI interfaces
  • Knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ISO)
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and tools
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Standing, bending, and working in confined areas for extended periods
  • Exposure to noise, heat, and welding fumes (PPE provided)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with offline programming and simulation software (e.g., RoboDK, FANUC Roboguide)
  • Certified Welder (CWI or similar) or prior robotic welding certifications
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
