In the registered nurse role, you will care for and facilitate the speedy recovery of patients under your watch. You will diligently monitor patients and the effects of procedures administered to them, and recommend solutions to each patient’s current situation. Success in this role will be demonstrated by increases in patient satisfaction and the speed of their recovery.
Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Observes each patient’s condition and reports findings to the respective physician
- Monitors and records patient’s vital signs and other key indicators
- Ensures that the facilities are clean and free of any unwanted contaminants
- Provides assistance to surgeons during procedures
- Informs and educates patients, family members, or guardians on proper care and maintenance for the patient’s condition
- Assists in the preparation of individualized healthcare plans
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Passed the National Council Licensure Examination
- Valid state nursing license
- Additional certification (ACLS, BLS, CPR, etc.) is preferred
- Computer literate
- Compassionate
- Team player with strong oral and written communication skills
